This can cause SARS-CoV-2, but this is the first study to claim that Covid-19 lowers testosterone levels.

Studies have shown that testosterone is associated with the immune system of the respiratory organs, which increases the risk of respiratory infections by lowering hormone levels. The study found that sex hormones levels have been found to decrease in severe Covid-19 infected men. 

Researcher Kayan stated that the overall average level of testosterone has been found to be better in patients with mild symptoms compared to Covid-19 patients admitted to the ICU (Intensive Care Unit). Apart from this, testosterone levels in ICU (Intensive Care Unit) patients are not sufficient compared to patients in the Intermediate Care Unit.

At the same time, researchers said that the level of stimulant hormone has been found to be higher in patients with ICU than in patients with mild symptoms. According to Kayan, Hypogonadism is a condition that causes a decrease in testosterone levels in the body of 51.1 percent of men.

According to the study, a large reduction in the number of sex hormones has been found in men who die from the corona. He also told that 65.2 percent of the 46 men with mild symptoms have reported libido. The scientists assessed a total of 438 patients, including 232 men, in each of which SARS-CoV-2 was confirmed.
